By using CoHabit ("the app"), you agree to these terms. CoHabit helps roommates, families, and households coordinate shared life — expenses, chores, meals, messages, photos, and more. These terms describe how you and we use the app fairly.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country for digital services). If you're under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian is aware of your use. Don't create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you share a household with others, treat your account like a key to your home — don't hand it to people you don't trust with your house data. You can delete your account anytime from Settings.
Anything you post inside a house (messages, photos, expenses, notes, etc.) is visible to members of that house. You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a limited licence to store and display it back to the house members — that's how a shared app works. We don't use your content for ads, training AI, or anything beyond delivering it to your housemates.
Don't use CoHabit to harass, threaten, or harm others. Don't post illegal content, spam, or try to attack our systems. Don't reverse-engineer the app to bypass security. If you do any of these, we can suspend or delete your account.
CoHabit is free at the time of writing. If we add paid features later, we'll tell you clearly — prices, what you get, how to cancel — before charging anything. No surprise billing.
We try to keep the app running and your data safe, but we don't guarantee 100% uptime. Sometimes we'll update features or fix bugs, which may briefly interrupt service. If we make a major change to these terms or how the app works, we'll let you know in-app.
CoHabit is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages — lost data, missed bills, disagreements between housemates. Back up anything critical (this is a coordination app, not a system of record for legal or financial obligations).
You can stop using the app and delete your account anytime from Settings. We can suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. If your account is deleted, your personal data is removed per the Privacy Policy; content you posted in shared spaces (like group chats) stays with the house.
